Women's Ministry Coordinator
Marisa is the part-time Women's Ministry Coordinator at Emmanuel Enid. She is passionate about women discovering Jesus through Scripture because of its transforming power. She leads the weekly ladies bible study on Wednesday mornings in the Hub. She also leads a Women's Ministry Council consisting of 9 ladies who work alongside her. They have reached out to the women at the Catalyst (our local halfway house for women) by leading a weekly bible study, sharing Wade's weekly sermons, doing a monthly craft activity, and during the past year they brought about 15 of the women to Celebrate Recovery every Sunday night.
Marisa grew up in Mississippi in a loving Christian home and she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 9. After graduating from Tupelo High School, she attended Mississippi State University graduating with a BS Degree in Elementary Education. She spent 13 years teaching in Mississippi schools. Marisa and her husband, Clark, joined Emmanuel Enid in 2001. They have been married for over 20 years and she has a grown son from her first marriage. They also have a young lady, Deborah Park, who has lived with them for 6 years and has become like their daughter. Marisa enjoys exercising at the YMCA, walking her dog, reading, teaching, and spending time with her family and friends.
